We are in another heatwave with the June highest temperature being broken today with 36.1 but thankfully much cooler than that on the coast! I headed down to Felixstowe Ferry at 6 this morning for a quick walk around the boatyard to take a few weather pics, sadly no luck :( I was sorting out my photos in bed when Mag returned from her prom walk and said she was going to water the garden before it got too hot, I then joined her for a cuppa outside and did my exercises in the shady garden which was lovely, Mag did all her word games on her phone on the bench in the border and loved it! Mag was going to see our old friend Mary who has been under the weather off late and I was going to stay at home but I checked the wind and it had increased so I drove down to The Dip to check things out, David was rigging his 9.5 for his raceboard and there were a few wingers there too. There looked a nice breeze so I took a chance with my 6.5 which proved a little small but I could pump up onto the foil, once going the long runs were really nice with the sea pretty smooth and I was only out in my neoprene shorts and rash vest as it was 25 degrees with wall to wall sunshine! There might be a tad more wind tomorrow, fingers crossed!
